IT'S OUR PASSION TO:

Host the Lord's presence and host His people well.

We believe every believer has 3 primary ministries. Ministry to the Lord, Ministry to the Body, and Ministry to the World. Our aim at The Wellspring is to see every believer equipped and trained in each of these ministries.

MINISTRY TO THE LORD: PSALM 100:4

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name."

MINISTRY TO THE BODY: EPHESIANS 4:16

"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."

MINISTRY TO THE WORLD: 2 CORINTHIANS 2:14

"God always makes His grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of His endless triumph. Through our yielded lives, He spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go."

MINISTRY TO THE LORD

In our gatherings we place a high priority on welcoming the Lord as our guest of honor, and as He comes, we follow His leadership. Thanksgiving, worship, and prayer is our response to His goodness. In His presence, He shows us His nature and transforms our lives.

Jesus states in Luke 19:46, "My Father's temple will be a house of prayer." In congruence, Paul states in Ephesians 2:21, "We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. "

MINISTRY TO THE BODY

God's idea of His church is seen throughout scripture. Paul called His church the Body of Christ, with every member being a unique and necessary part of the life of this Body. Ministry to the Lord would be us honoring the Lord Jesus as the head, and Ministry to the Body is us learning together, under His leadership, to grow and encourage one another. In a hyper individualized culture, the Gospel calls us to a communal lifestyle that looks like Kingdom family.

MINISTRY TO THE WORLD

At the Wellspring, we believe in the “go” of the Gospel! Missions is in the heartbeat of God. God gave this incredible message to the angels in announcing Christ’s birth: “Behold, I bring you good news of great joy which would be to ALL peoples.” This is one of the greatest joys and responsibilities we have as the Bride of Christ. We get to co-labor with heaven to see Jesus get the full reward of His sufferings in the hearts of every people group on the planet.

OUR STAFF

The main Scriptural texts that outline the requirements of leaders are 1 Timothy 3:1-3, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Acts 6:1-6, and Exodus 18:21-22. The qualifications in these passages can be summarized as commitment, conviction, competency, and character. We never expect perfection, but we do want every leader to strive for excellence, integrity, and vulnerability.
